Where we renovate: Valencia, l’Horta and the Camp de Túria

Our base is La Eliana, fifteen minutes from most of the houses we renovate. Find your town below and see how we work there: one in-house team, one person answering for the whole job, and a fixed written quote. All of it explained in English.

If you live in one of the villa areas north or west of Valencia, you have probably had the same conversation over a fence: everybody knows a builder, and nobody is sure the builder will still be answering the phone in March. This page is the plain version of where we work, town by town.

Batecs is a Spanish building company based in La Eliana. The towns below are where our vans go every day: the city of Valencia, l’Horta Nord, Oest and Sud, all of the Camp de Túria, and a few towns in the Hoya de Buñol and the Ribera Alta. Each has its own page, because each has its own housing stock, its own town hall and its own idea of how long a licence takes.

Fifteen minutes, not an hour

Based in La Eliana, inside the area we serve

Our base is not an office in the city with a van that comes out when it can. It is in La Eliana, inside the same residential belt as most of the houses we renovate: La Cañada, Bétera, San Antonio de Benagéber, Godella and Rocafort are a short drive away, and the city is twenty minutes down the road.

That is an argument about service, not marketing. A site visit can happen this week rather than next month. The site manager looks in on your job on the way to another one, so things get seen instead of reported. And when something needs attention after handover, the same people come back.

01 The villa belt

Nine towns we know street by street

The belt of villa developments around the international schools, north and west of the city, is where most of our international clients live. Each town has a page of its own.

Renovated villa with garden and pool in La Eliana, Camp de Túria

La Eliana

Our own town, and our base for 35 years: villas, townhouses and the Montesol and Montealegre developments, where the garden matters as much as the interior.

Villa renovation with pool and outdoor areas in La Cañada, Paterna

La Cañada

Villas among the pines on generous plots, in one of the most sought-after developments near Valencia. Paterna town hall issues the licence; the exteriors are usually the point.

Modernised villa in a residential development in San Antonio de Benagéber

San Antonio de Benagéber

Modern villas and townhouses across Montesano, Los Olivos and the rest of the town. Most of the work here is modernising: the daytime rooms, the terrace and the pool.

Renovated home with a new kitchen and outdoor space in Bétera

Bétera

Luxury villas in Mas Camarena and Torre en Conill, townhouses inside developments, and village houses in the old town. Two very different jobs, ten minutes apart.

Detached period home refurbished in Godella, l’Horta Nord

Godella

Campolivar villas and period townhouses in the old quarter, including Modernista homes to refurbish without losing their character. Façade protection is part of the conversation.

Stone and timber finishes in a renovated Rocafort villa

Rocafort

High-end villas in the Santa Bárbara development and grand period houses in the old town. Restoring one and modernising the other both need a site manager who is there.

Full villa renovation with a pool in Náquera, Camp de Túria

Náquera

The gateway to the Sierra Calderona: villa developments with their own plots, pine woods and pools. Much of our work here turns a second home into a year-round one.

Villa façade repaired, rendered and insulated in Serra, Sierra Calderona

Serra

A mountain village in the Sierra Calderona, where the climate drives the project — insulation for the cool nights, roofs and façades that take the weather.

Period flat renovated in the city of Valencia

Valencia

Flats and houses across the whole city, from the Ensanche and Ruzafa to Ciutat Vella, Campanar and Patraix. Period buildings, high ceilings, a residents’ association and one lift for everything.

02 Also on our doorstep

Six more towns within easy reach of our base

Just beyond the villa belt, and close enough that nothing about the way we work has to change.

03 Find your town

Every town we cover, comarca by comarca

Fifty towns, each with a page of its own. The comarca names are the local ones, because that is how everybody here describes the map.

València capital

The city itself: flats in the Ensanche, Ruzafa, Ciutat Vella and Campanar.

Valencia.

Camp de Túria

Our own comarca, and the one we can cross in a quarter of an hour.

La Eliana, La Cañada, San Antonio de Benagéber, Bétera, Riba-roja de Túria, Llíria, La Pobla de Vallbona, Benaguasil, Vilamarxant, Náquera, Serra and Loriguilla.

l’Horta Nord

The green belt north of the city, from the villa areas out towards the coast.

Burjassot, Godella, Rocafort, Moncada, Alboraya, Almàssera, Tavernes Blanques, Meliana, Foios, Museros, Massamagrell, Rafelbunyol, La Pobla de Farnals and Puçol.

l’Horta Oest

Large towns immediately west of Valencia, with much of the housing built between the 1970s and the 1990s.

Mislata, Xirivella, Quart de Poblet, Aldaia, Alaquàs, Manises, Paterna and Torrent.

l’Horta Sud

Family towns to the south: whole homes, kitchens and bathrooms, mostly.

Catarroja, Paiporta, Picanya, Alfafar, Benetússer, Sedaví, Massanassa, Albal, Silla, Alcàsser and Picassent.

Hoya de Buñol

West along the A-3, where plots get bigger and the detached house is the norm.

Cheste and Chiva.

Ribera Alta

South-west of the city, at the outer edge of what we cover from La Eliana.

Montserrat and Real.

04 Working in English

Your job is run in English, whatever town it is in

We are a Spanish building company and the work is Spanish building work, done under Spanish rules. What we add is that you follow all of it.

  • One English-speaking point of contact — the same person from the first site visit to the day we hand the keys back.
  • Town hall paperwork prepared and explained — a building licence (licencia de obra) in one town, a responsible declaration (declaración responsable) in the next. We put it together, we submit it, and we tell you what it says.

More on how that works, and on why we are a building company rather than a middleman, on our page for English-speaking builders in Valencia.

05 What we build

The same nine services in every town on this page

Whether it is a villa in Bétera or a flat in Ruzafa, the work is done by our own trades and priced once, in writing, before anybody starts.

Let us come and look at it

Tell us the town, and we will come and see the house

Give us the town, a rough size and what you want changed. We come and measure it ourselves, and you get a written, itemised quote within 24–48 hours, with nothing to sign at that stage.

Arrange a site visit

In short

Batecs renovates homes across the city of Valencia, l’Horta and the Camp de Túria from a base in La Eliana: our own in-house team, a site manager who stays on your job, and a fixed written quote. Fifty towns have a page of their own.

Whichever of them yours is in, the project is run in English from the first site visit to handover, and the figure you sign is the figure you pay.

How we work sets out the six stages and what you get in writing at each one; about Batecs explains who actually walks into your house; and our projects show finished work. If you would rather just talk to somebody, get in touch.
